About:How to Apply for a China Tourist Visa

Tourist visa

I understand UK passport holder can travel to Hainan province visa free.
I intend to fly London to Changsha direct . Stay perhaps a night or two then fly to Lhasa and join a 2 week tour.
Can I do this please without a Chinese visa. I understand the Tibetan tour company will need to get the necessary permits for me.
Thank you

No, you cannot.

First, Hainan 30-day visa-free access is only valid if you take a direct flight from abroad without any other stops in mainland China. As you will land in Changsha first, a Chinese visa is a must.

Second, visiting Tibet also requires a Chinese visa.

As a result, you have to obtain a Chinese visa in advance.
