About:China Flight

Do we need transit visa

Hi do we need visa for transfer if our trip is: 1. LGW-PVG-HKT 2. LGW- PVG-CAN-HKT, we are not planning to leave airpot, flying to Thailand, jus have tickets with two different cariers. Thank you

1. For the first route, if your transit time is less than 24 hours, you are eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit. If the layover time is more than 24 hours and less than 144 hours, you are eligible for the 144-hour visa-free transit.

2. For the second one, if your total transit time is less than 24 hours, you can use 24-hour visa-free transit. However, if the lay over time is over 24 hours, you have to apply for a Chinese visa in advance.
