About:Visa on Arrival

Do I qualify for a Shenzhen VOA travelling from Sydney Australia?

I travel from Sydney Australia to Shenzhen round trip in january 2024. I am there for 4 days.

Would it be wise for me to apply for a Chinese visa beforehand, or am I eligible to wait and apply for a visa on arrival?

Although it is still published that Shenzhen visa on arrival is available at Shenzhen airport, the experience of several well documented passengers shows that this option is no longer available.
