About:Visa on Arrival

Can I get VOA if I take Hong Kong - Shenzhen High Speed Train (at Shenzhen North Railway Station?

I intend to go to Shenzhen for a day trip. Is it possible to get a VOA if I take the Hong Kong - Shenzhen High Speed Train getting off at Shenzhen North Railway Station please? I hold a Switzerland passport. Thank you.

No, high speed train is not eligible to get a VOA. It is better to take a ferry to reach Shekou Port to apply for it.

Hi we just tried this and it (we hava swiss passports) and we got denied today.

They are not issuing any visa on Knowloon Train station and you cannot enter the train without a valid visa.

They sent us to Lo Wu by metro and this works better and is easy.

However, you can return back to Hong Kong by taking a high speed train or any other mean of transport or by taking any available border crossing.
