About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Bangkok-Xiamen-Japan

Hi, I am holding Thai Passport (Thailand). I have 15 hours overnight at Xiamen, so do I have to apply for 24-hours VISA before I departure? Where can I get it?

I have asked the staff from the Xiamen Airline, they said that Thai's passport do not need the 24-hours VISA before departure. But, I would love to make sure, what is the correct answer, Thank you.

Joy, if Xiamen Air says so, I would rely on their answer, especially if you have one in written form like an email or something. Usually, Xiamen airport is considered a bit specific because several nationalities were required to obtain a visa if they are using it as a transfer point. Most sources still say that Thai nationals have to have a visa if they want to perform a transit through Xiamen, but if you have received a reassurance by Xiamen Air, then there should not be problems traveling without a visa by relying on 24 hour visa free transit.

Thank you for your reply.
The staff answer me of telephone. I'm e-mail to them again.
However, most of source said that I have to get 24 hours visa in advance before we go.
Thus, must get the e-mail from Xiamen Airline again.
