About:China Visa

US passport travel to Bangkok, then wants to visit family and travel in China

I have US pass port. I am going to Bangkok from Florida. Then I want to go to visit my sister Santauo (southern China) and travel to places in China. May I apply for 10 years visa in Bangkok? Thank you.

Sorry you cannot apply 10 year visa in Bangkok as you are not a resident there. However, you can take advantage of the 240h visa free transit to get a 10 days free entry to China if you fly from China back to US. If you plan to stay longer than 10 days in China, you need to apply for a visa in advance in the US.

Thank you for your reply. I am actually a Thai Citizen as well. I had Chinese Visa via Thai passport before. I like to get a 10 years Visa as I like to go back to visit China more often. I was told that 10 years Visa usually not issued to Thai passport holder. Please advise. Thank you

Sorry that, China doesn't issue 10-year visa to Thais. However, Thai people enjoy 30-day visa-free entry to China until the end of 2026 and there is no limit on how many times you utilize the policy.
