About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Bogota-Madrid-Chongqing CKG- Bangkok

Good evening, I am a Colombian citizen and I will be traveling to Bangkok, but on my flight I have a 5-hour layover in China, at Chongqing CKG Airport. I would like to know whether I need to apply for a visa for this short layover. Thank you.

You do not need any kind of visa because your layover in China (Chongqing) will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit scheme. You really do not have to do anything ahead of your travel and you do not need to perform any formality nor to fill out any forms. You will just remain airside (within the transit area) of Chongqing airport waiting for your next flight. Upon your landing in Chongqing you will basically just walk from one to the other gate and all you will encounter between them is a security check (metal detector and the stuff). You can travel with absolute peace of mind and visa free. Have a nice journey.
