About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

Expired US passport with valid 10 year multi entry Chinese visa plus New Passport... Still works?

I have read online this works, but see comments that since Covid this has changed. I need to confirm before trying to get into China in December. Thanks!

The 10-year visa has been suspended during the covid-19 pandemic but has been valid again since March 15, 2023. You need to bring both your old passport and new passport to enter China.

Thank you. I also emailed one of the Chinese Consulates, as I had seen that China can cancelled the use of an expired passport with a valid visa in conjunction with a new passport. Apparently, this has NOT changed at all, and your reply is correct.

To:

An expired US passport with a valid Chinese visa is good for traveling to China provided it is used together with a new valid US passport bearing the same name, sex, date of birth, and nationality. If any changes are made to the above-mentioned information on the new passport, a new visa shall be applied.
