About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

VISA QUESTION

Hi i will be travelling back to australia from rome and have a 12 hour layover are we allowed to go and explore during the day for 8 hours and do we need a 24 hour or 72hour visa?

Since youy layover is 12 hours, you will be eligible for 24-hour visa free transit. Upon landing, obtain a temporary entry permit and then you can leave the airside.
