About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK > Beijing > Bangkok > Beijing > UK

Hello, we are planing following trip:

UK > Beijing > Bangkok > Beijing > UK

We plan to stay in Beijing 5 days then fly to Bangkok for 2-4 days. We are planning to use a 144 hour TWOV during this stay.
Our return flight from Bangkok to UK has a 5-6 hour layover in Beijing. Do we need another visa during they layover, while we wait for our connecting flight ? If so can we use another TWOV after so soon after our previous one ? Thanks I’m advance!

Your onward trip is eligible for 144-hour visa free transit and you need to apply for a temporary stay permit to leave the airport.

Your return trip is eligible for 24-hour visa free transit. It does not matter how often you use the policy. I suppose you won't leave the airport this time, so you don't need to do anything. Just take time to complete the transit procedures.

Hello Holly, Thank you for the clarification! what is the Temporary Stay Visa ? could you share a link to details ? I was under the impression that a 144 hour TWOV was the only requirement. Thanks

You may get a stamp at the 144-hour visa-free transit counter. Just a very simple procedure and don't worry.
