About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

UK > Guangzhou > UK

We are booking a business trip to visit suppliers in September. If the trip is less than 144 hours / 6 days and in the Guangdong Province does it qualify for the visa free 144 hours when you are coming from and leaving to the same destination?

Of course not. This is not a transit, but a return journey. In order to be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit you need immediate points before and after your Chinese destination to be in two different countries, for example:

UK - Guangzhou - Paris - UK

or

UK - Guangzhou - Hong Kong - UK

If you did not book your flight tickets, you can still make some corrections in your itinerary and become eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in entire Guangdong province.
