Overstay and S-type permit

Hello, i have overstayed in china for 3 months, my wife is coming china for master's degree. Can i pay my fine, apology and apply for residence permit again. I am in X visa and left school for some fake scholarship issues.

I'm afraid it is hard for you to apply for a residence permit again. And you may be sent back to your country.
