About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

overstay for 10 years and pregnanthio

hi good day. what if my friend is already overstay for 10 years and got pregnan. she is nearly to give birth to a baby next month. what will happen to her and for the baby. is it possible for her to register her baby even only havig passport?/
i saw a law covers the pregnant woman or having a breastfeeding baby before 1 year, they are excuse to a fine or penalty.

So complicated. I'm afraid she can't register her baby with her passport as a illegal foreigner in China. Is the baby's father a Chinese? If yes, maybe the father can register his baby. I think she needs a lawyer.
