About:Visa on Arrival

VOA from Macau

Hello, is it possible to get a VOA now if I travel by ferry from Macau to Shekou, Shenzhen? If so, what are the wait times like? Is it better to travel from HK -> Shenzhen or Macau -> Shenzhen by ferry?

You can definitely take a ferry from Macau to Shekou in Shenzhen. This is recommended, but you should be aware of the opening hours of Shekou visa office: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30. Since you know this detail, you should plan accordingly. The operator of the ferries between Macau and Shekou is TurboJet. Also, it is perfectly the same if you take a ferry from Macau or Hong Kong. In the end you will be in the same queue. Waiting time for Shenzhen VOA at Shekou should not be longer than 1 hour, although it is hard to predict.
