About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Stamps of a visit to Turkey in our passports.

Hello,
I am planning a trip with my family as follows:
Amsterdam to Shanghai, arrival on the 5th of July.
Shanghai to Jakarta Indonesia, departure on the 7th and arrival on the 8th.

So timewise, I think this schedule should fit the 144-hour visa-free visit.
But I read on an other site, that it is not allowed to have stamps in your passport of a previous visit to Turkey or Egypt. Is this true?

The first and the most important detail is that your itinerary:

Amsterdam - Shanghai - Jakarta

If you have presented all the stops is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Shanghai area.

As far as the Turkish and Egyptian stamps are concerned, they were almost never a problem to the magnitude that is so overblown by some websites ans so called witnesses. It is true that in some very rare case, you may be asked about your travels to Turkey and Egypt, but an answer that you were there as tourists or for shopping will be perfectly enough and these stamps will not represent any kind of problem. Both Chinese and Turkish airlines fly direct flights between two countries, so if that is not the problem, your stamps will be just a curiosity, maybe not even that...

Just enjoy your time, you are good to go.

Thank you very much!
This is a great website, with very good support!

The 144-Hour Visa_free Transit is a great way to show Shanghai to my family.
To be honest, I am more a Beijing guy, but I am more than happy to settle for Shanghai ;-)
