We are UK nationals living in Turkey can we apply for a tourist visa from the embassy in Edinburgh?

My wife and I are UK nationals retired and living in Antalya. We are going back to Scotland to visit relatives prior
to going to Shanghai to visit our daughter who lives and works there. It would be much easier for us to apply for
a tourist visa in Edinburgh than to apply here in Turkey due to language difficulties and travel problems.
Is this possible. We intend to go to Shanghai for three weeks in early October and are returning to Scotland in September to visit relatives.
