About:Beijing Transportation Smart Card

Is one card necessary per person?

We are a family of three people who will spend a single day in Beijing; We will arrive at the airport (T3 and what to visit The Forbidden City and the 798 Art Zone. Will we need 3 cards or will one be enough? Thank you.
