About:8 Tips for Filling Out Chinese Visa Application Form

Visa question

I was born in China, brought to Hong Kong ,( at time HK was still a British Colony), under my parents when I was a young kid, immigrated to USA since I was 11 now an American citizen, I am 75 years old, I don't have any Chinese passport since I came to Hong Kong under my late parents' visa, they didn't pass any documents to me, today I went to the San Francisco Chinese consulate in San Francisco to apply for a tourist visa, I was rejected because I don't have a China passport, even I have a US passport. Honestly, my parents didn't have any documents passed to me, all I know is, I was born in China. Since I have no trace of my ancestors in China, how can I get to enter as a tourist to China for the first time in my life , or none I will be welcame, ever ?

Hi, it is suggested to apply for a Chinese visa by your US passport directly and just follow the normal applying process of an American citizen. That may be helpful. Good luck to you!
