Yes, you can. The only detail you have to keep in mind is to take a flight that will take you into Shenzhen without having a landing or any kind of transfer within mainland China. In other words, your flight has to be of nonstop type flying from some third country, Singapore for example, to Shenzhen nonstop.
You can also leave Shenzhen by flying to some other country and, again, you have to take care that such a flight does not have any additional landing or a transfer of any kind within mainland China. Also, you can exit to Hong Kong or Macau by taking any border crossing or any mean of transport including a high speed train.
This is all valid under the assumption that you are a Singaporean citizen.
