About:Visa on Arrival

Vietnamese applying for VOA from Hongkong

Hello,
We are planning to visit Hongkong this May, and it would be awesome if we can apply for VOA to visit Shenzhen for 1-2 days during our trip
Is Vietnam passport eligible for this?

Unfortunately, and I am personally so sorry about that, but Vietnamese citizens are not eligible for 5 day Shenzhen VOA at the time being. Hopefully this will be resolved in the nearest future, but until then, you are advised not to apply for this type of visa. You should obtain a full visa in advance or postpone your trip for some other time.

The only exception is if you have been granted a Chinese visa somewhere in the past. So, if you have been granted a Chinese visa in the past and you can prove it by presenting your old passport with old Chinese visa, then your chances increase to a satisfactory level.
