HK passport holders are not eligible for Shenzhen VOA; they need to apply for Mainland Travel Permit in advance.NZ passport holders are eligible for Shenzhen VOA. The ferry ticket can be bought online and there are many agencies selling it. You can google or ask the hotel staff to help you with the booking. JUst keep in mind the Shekou port visa office opens till 16:30 recently.
