About:Visa on Arrival

Hello, I’m Indonesian. I’m holiding indonesia passport. If

If I come to Shenzhen by land - 4 May 2023, take the train from Hong Kong and arrive at Louhu, can I get a visa on arrival at Louhu? and if it is possible to get a visa on arrival, how much does it cost and how long is it valid? I really hope for information from you. thank you very much

Recent information show that Indonesian citizens are eligible for Shenzhen VOA, but it seems that the Chinese authorities require an old China visa to be presented at the moment of apllication. If you have an old (used) Chinese visa in some old passport, that would be useful to bring with you. If you do not have old Chinese visa, then I cannot guarantee that you will be granted a Shenzhen VOA, although I think that Indonesians are eligibel even in this case.

Please, have in mind that Luohu (Lo Wu) border crossing visa office is open just until 16:30 and you should bring PCR/antigen test not older than 48 hours.

thanks you very much for the information! it means a lot to me. Apply Chinese Visa now at Indonesia is very difficult and crowded. I have previous china visa before. so I can get my VOA for this Shenzhen trip 2023.

Great! Just bring your old passport with that old Chinese visa inside and this will allow you to be granted a 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival.

hello, still curious and not sure, because when we asked China embassy about this VOA -Louhu Port, they don't know about these new regulation VOA. This information is Valid rite ? and since when this VOA Shenzhen - Louhu port begins ?

The issuing of Shenzhen VOA has started on March 15th 2023. We have a very reliable and positive feedback that Indonesians were granted Shenzhen VOA during the last week, so this is the basis of my knowlede and the basis of my suggestions offered to you.

It is logical, you will decide to approach to Luohu or not. I am just telling you that your chances are really very good. If you do not feel confident that you will be granted a Shenzhen VOA, maybe you should not go at the border crossing at all. Please, just keep in mind that the visa office is open just until 16:30 if you decide to apply for this particular visa.
