About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong to Guangzhou

Hi I’m in Hong Kong and I need to travel to Guangzhou on Tuesday what is the best way to gain access for a few days can I get a same day visa in Hong King for China? Or am I best to book a flight and have a transit visa?

Your best option is to rely on 144 hours visa free transit scheme.

To be eligible for this scheme you will:
- Fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou by nonstop flight
- Book a ferry ticket from Shekou port in Shenzhen to Macau through TurboJet website, print out the ticket and have it with you
- Like this you will be in a real transit: Hong Kong - Guangzhou (during 144 hour visa free transi you are allowed to stay and travel within the entire Guangdong province) - Macau
- After your arrival in Macau, you will just proceed by the first ferry to Hong Kong
- You have to always say to the authorities that you intend to travel to Macau via Guangzhou using 144 hour visa free transit
- You really have to take exactly that ferry from Shekou to Macau that you have booked the ticket for.

Please, have in mind that this option is not a transit visa, but visa free transit, so there is no any visa at all.

Hello! Is it possible to fly from HK to GZ but then take the train from GZ South railway station to Zhuhai railway station and exit through the Gongbei port of exit? Or the only option is to take the ferry from Sekou?

It is better to take a ferry from Shekou and the way you mentioned will probably be rejected.
