About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24-Hour TWOV Eligibility

Dutch passport holder.
From Hong Kong visit Guangzhou by train, then Guangzhou to Zhuhai by train to Macau within 24 hours.

Is this eligible to 24-Hour TWOV?

Actually, no.

You have to enter Guangzhou by air to be eligible for any kind of visa free transit option. So, only the flight Hong Kong - Guanghzou opens this option for you.

Also, you have to exit to Macau by a direct option, so a ferry from Shekou port in Shenzhen will be the option. You can buy a ferry (catamaran) ticket on TurboJet website that will have a route Shekou - Macau.

So, if you enter by air to Guangzhou and exit to Macau as I have explained, you will be eligible for 144 hours visa free transit within the entire Guangdong province and not only 24 TWOV.
