About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Australia to Guangzhou then Guangzhou to Australia

If I fly from Australian, just stay in Guangzhou for 2 days with Australian passport, then fly back to Australia, is it eligible for the 72 hours transit visa free?

No, unfortunately, this is not a transit since you miss a third country. I advise you to insert Hong Kong and to fly:

Australia - Hong Kong - Guangzhou - Australia

If you do this, you will be eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in entire Guangdong province.
