About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hr transit visa

If Taipei-Beijing-HKG route is qualified for 144 hrs transit visa, do they have to be on the same itinerary/airline? I just called the Beijing capital airport immigration (0861012367), the customer services kept mentioning as long as it is connecting flight via Beijing then is ok. So what is considered connection flight if it is from two airlines (Eva for TPE to PEK, air china for PEK to HKG). Thx

By connecting flight they imply arriving with valid ticket for the flight that will take you from Beijing to another country / territory different from the country / territory that you will come to Beijing from. It does not have to be on the same ticket or on the same airline. Different tickets and different airlines were and are always acceptable for this purpose.

Taipei - Beijing - Hong Kong is definitely qualified for 144 hours visa free transit.
