Valid entry dates for visa

I listed an itinerary for an M visa application, but while the application is being processed my dates have changed by about two weeks. Will I need to reapply for the new dates or is it valid for a certain number of days once the visa has been issued?

The visa will usually be valid for about 3 months or 6 months once issued.
