Well, I am a dragon and both my girls are horses; I love them with every ounce in me and we seem to get along pretty well! They’re always singing me praises, apparently I am « the best mother in the whole universe... ».
So it’s a good combination as far as parents/children are concerned; I can’t say much about it for other types of relationships!0
