Overstay by one year

Hello, I have over stayed in China on a business visa for one year. I need to exit China soon but would like to know if I will be detained? I can afford to pay the fine but I am afraid of being put in a detention center.

It's more likely you will be repatriated and added into the blacklist which will influence your future China visa application for some years.
