i want to return to china

hi i was a teacher in china, i came back last December. i want to return, but my Z visa has run out.
i also have a chinese girl friend in Jinan. i am trying to return to her.
can i get a visitors visa soon. i am also waiting for an PU letter but as you know this is not available at this present time. i know that the Manchester Visa centre is open. but not sure what they are offering. i live an hour and a half away from this centre so i can't go and check. i have tried phone with no success od an answer to this question.
