About:Marriage Registration in China

Bangladeshi Male To Marry a Chinese Girl in Fuzhou

Hi,

I understand that a single status certificate is required for marrying a chinese citizen. Due to the pandemic it is currently very hard for me to arrange this document from my hometown. I also cannot ask family members to assist as they are in lockdown mode. In such a circumstance, can a personal affidavit work?

Bangladesh embassy in Beijing is also not helpful in this matter and they ask me to arrange it from Bangladesh itself.

So back to my question again, can a personal affidavit work in this situation?

I'm afraid the personal affidavit does not work. In case that the Bangladesh embassy in Beijing is not helpful either, you may have to register your marriage after the epidemic situation ends.
