Visa expiring on Jan 2021

Hi, I recently received my visa but unable to travel due to flights that are fully booked until Feb 2021. My visa is going to expire on 21 Jan. 2021, how can the embassy assist me with this challenge? Will be required to apply for.a new visa again and if yes what will be the process?
