Entering China with wife

Hello everyone,
I have a quick question. I married my Chinese wife in the UK a few months ago and we live here now. We are planning to go live in China - is it possible to apply for a visa to go with her? I don't have a job lined up at the moment that could issue me a PU invitation, but would be able to find a job quickly once I'm there. Would I be able to work in China with turn what I assume to be a temporary residency permit? Thank you very much everybody - my wife's mother is sick and we want to go together.

Best regards,
Michael

Michael, actually you can apply for a Q visa in order to go to China. If you want to work in China later, you should convert this Q visa to a Z visa.
