About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

1 year overstay in China tourist visa.

Will i still be able to extend my tourist visa? Or will I possible be sent back to my home country? Philippines. My entry is tourist then an opportunity to work came, but then my employer failed to apply or didn’t bother to apply for my work visa.

You will need to first pay the fines, and then apply for an exit visa.

If you overstayed your visa expiration date you can expect at least a 10,000 rmb fine, immediate deportation and 10 year -or life- ban on entry to China. You'll be lucky if that is all they do to you for a year overstay and for working illegally...
