Travelling to Canada via Hong Kong

I am Prabath Samarasekera and planning to visit Canada with my wife for our daughters graduation via Hong Kong in May 2020. I will be flying to HK by Cathay Pacific and to Canada on Air Canada. On our return, Vancouver to Hong Kong on Air Canada and HK to Colombo on Cathay Pacific.

We both are having valid Canadian visas and appreciate if you could let us know whether we require transit/air side visas for this trip. Our last trip to Canada was also through HK, but we uses Cathay Pacific for our entire trip. If a visa is required, please let us know the requirements/documents.

Thank you

Yes, you need a transit visa. The required documents include your passport, application form, photo, flight tickets, visa for Canada, and financial status proof.
