About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Bangkok - Shanghai - Seoul

I traveling from Bangkok to Seoul with transit 16 hours in Shanghai. Do I need visa transit? must I apply that visa transit in Indonesia (my country)?

FYI my I using Shanghai Airlines from Bangkok to Shanghai and China Eastern Airlines from Shanghai to Seoul. Please help me.. tx

You don't need a visa, but you may have to stay in the airport for your transit.

Thanks for your reply.. how about if I go outside to around Shangai for 16 hours in my transit? Is need visa too?

You need a temporary entry permit to leave the airport.
But you have no guarantee to get one, it's up to the immigration if they will give you one or not.
