About:China Visa Application in USA

Visa-free transit or visa application time and cost

I'm an American but am a permanent resident of Japan. I plan to fly to Hangzhou on 2/11 from Osaka, Japan, and plan to return to Osaka on 2/14. If I'm correct, I don't think I qualify for the visa-free transit. If I have to get a visa, how quickly can I get it in Osaka? And the cost is $140US, right?

Scott, you are right that you don't qualify for the visa-free transit because of your route. If you use urgent service at the Osaka visa center, the processing time is two working days. The regular service takes 4 working days. Regular service costs 20,000 yen. Urgent service costs 29,000 yen.
