About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

72 hr Visa free transit

I hold an Australian passport and will be travelling to India for 4 days then from India to Shanghai.
36 hr stopover in Shanghai only and will include travelling to Zhangjiagang for a short business meeting.
Then return to Australia from Shanghai.
Doues this qualify for the 72 hr visa free transit as I will be entering from India?

Yes, this qualifies for the 144h visa-free transit, which has replaced the 72hrs visa-free transit a few years ago.
