About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Eligibility for 144 hours visa

I am planning to travel from Bangkok to Guangzhou by air and would like to stay for 4 days in Guangzhou and then from Guangzhou to Hong Kong by train . Do I have to take an Airplane or am I also allowed to take the train.
Please confirm if I am eligible for a 144 hours visa and how much is the visa fee.

Yes, you are allowed to take the train from Guangzhou to Hong Kong, but not the high speed trains. The 144h visa-free transit is applicable to you and the service is free of charge.

The only problem is that you must have your train ticket in your hand when you check in at Bangkok.
