UK to Shanghai via European transfers

Hi

For following, is it possible to stay without visa:

UK -> France (transfer) -> Shanghai

Stay within 144 hours

Shanghai -> Netherlands (transfer) -> UK

This would be booked as a round trip departing and arriving back to UK, but connecting flights that fly into and out of China are in different countries, so would this still allow TWOV?
