About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 Hour Visa AND 24 hour transit Visa

Hi, just wondering if it is possible to use both the 240 hour Visa-Free Transit as well as the 24 hour Visa-Free Transit?

Example = Heathrow direct to Beijing. 10 days in China using 240 hours visa free transfer. Then Beijing to Hong Kong and stay 7 days. Fly from Hong Kong to Heathrow with a 3 hour layover in Beijing. Can this 3 hour layover be allowed under the 24 hour visa free transit because we have already used up the 240 hour visa free transit?

Yes, you can do that. It is absolutely possible to use 240 and 24 hour visa free transit within a very short time frame without any doubt. During your short layover in Beijing, if you travel on a single ticket, you will just walk from one to the other gate and you will not be a subject of immigration and customs inspections. Also, you do not have to fill out any form nor perform any formality. It is only the security check that you will cross between the two gates at Beijing airport. Have a nice visit to China and a smooth transfer in Beijing on your way back home.
