About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

This is not always true, be careful!

Traveling to Nepal in July 2019 and a transit in Guangzhou for 15 hours. I was denied for a free hotel stay (previously they did) by China Southern. I had more money in my pocket than those all Chinese staffs' a month's cumulative salary, with a high-position job in an advanced country along with that country's PR card. As I was with my family, I requested a lot to them but in vain. Until today I am unable to understand if it was just a Chinese mentality towards a person from a developing country, or just a hand-shake with CSA to save hotel money. As I could do nothing in foreign land, I developed a grudge against them by showing my middle finger to CSA for any future flights and gave some stress to the Chinese people (I really feel sorry for them as I was angry) working under me. I really became mad after that incident. So, Don't TRUST, ask!

You sound like you behaved like an idiot. That’s not the way to get anything done in China.

Ramesh, you have started your trip totally uninformed. If you only have tried to find some information, then you would realize that the issuing of a temporary entry permit is not a passenger's right at all. Your right was to travel from country A through country B (China) to country C visa free. This is all that 24 hour visa free transit is about. You are not entitled for any kind of right to exit the airport regardless of CSA transit accommodation. CSA is not an immigration service! So, you were denied of privilege because a temporary entry permit is a privilege, nothing else. Anyway, you were denied a privilege and not your right. So, don't travel uninformed, ask!
