About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does this itinerary qualify for 240 hour visa option?

Hello, Indonesian citizen here.
Will I qualify for the 240-hour visa-free transit if I am travelling from Indonesia to Lijiang transiting via Guangzhou as no direct flight, then travelling within Yunnan area by car or by train up to Shangri La, then exiting China through Kunming to go to Hong-Kong and finally returning to Indonesia? My main concern is about the Shangri La stop over as I've received positive and negative answer for that part.
I am hoping someone can help with an official document.
Many Thanks

Your itinerary is eligible for 240 hour visa free transit, but you will have to skip Shangri-La because Shangri-La is among several areas in Yunnan that are off limits to those traveling on 240 hour visa free transit. You can find an official source here, c/p the link: https://www.nia.gov.cn/n897453/c1688948/content.html . Allowed cities and prefectures are: Kunming, Lijiang, Yuxi, Pu'er, Chuxiong, Dali, Xishuangbanna, Honghe, and Wenshan. It is important to emphasize that your flight from Indonesia to Lijiang via Guangzhou is not allowed to have any kind of landing in Hong Kong because you will use Hong Kong as your exit territory. Also, you can travel from Kunming to Hong Kong by plane or train, but you will have to buy your exit ticket, being it by plane or train to Hong Kong even before you depart from Indonesia because you will be asked to present it in both Indonesia and upon your landing in Guangzhou. All the entry formalities will be performed in Guangzhou because it is always the first point of landing in China where the formalities are performed. Have a nice visit to China.
