First of all, I really feel sorry for an obvious inconvenience that you have experienced.
Alice, could you, please, help us understand what has really happened to you.
You are mentioning in the title that you were refused visa free transit and in the text you say that you were refused a transit visa. Actually, could you clarify what was refused to you because there is a huge difference between two options.
I hope you don't mind to answer on the following question, so that we understand better your situation for the benefit of future travelers:
- If you were traveling on visa free transit scheme, have you been allowed to continue your journey as it was originally planned?
- Have you been denied to exit the airport and forced to stay at the airport for the entire duration of your layover?
- Have you been flying on 24 or 144 hour visa free transit and how long was your layover?
- Have you been told a reason why you have been denied what you have been denied?
- What airport was it?
- What was your flight itinerary?
I understand that I probably make you feel like under investigation, but only based to your answers we will be able to bring a conclusion and to make good advises to all future travelers.
Thank you for your kind answers because they will be very helpful.
