About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Qingdao

Qingdao 144h Visa

I have the following flight schedule in Far East, on next January:

Flights
Venice-Dubai
Dubai-Seul
Seul-Quindao

2 days staing in Quindao.

Flights
Quindao-Seul

1 Day in Seul

Flights
Seul-Taipei

2 days in Taipei and than back to Venice.

Can I use the 144h Visa

No, unfortunately, you cannot. The reason is simple and that is your itinerary:

Seoul (South Korea) - Qingdao (mainland China) - Seoul (South Korea)

As you can see this is a round trip and not a transit through China. The rule for every type of visa free transit clearly declares that the cities immediately before and after your Chinese destination have to be in different countries or eligible territories. This is not the case with your itinerary that has both immediate cities, in reality just one city in a single country - South Korea.

To be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Qingdao, you would have to create an itinerary where you will introduce a third country (or eligible territory). For example and having in mind your entire itinerary:

Seoul - Qingdao - Taipei
