Hello, I am confused if my departure qualifies for the Beijing visa exemption.

I arrive PEK airport 3pm (day 1) coming from United States. I have 1 day layover (day 2) and depart day 3 at 9am from PEK airport with a 2hr 15min layover at Shenzhen, China airport (SZX) with final destination Phuket, Thailand. Do I qualify for the Visa exemption?
