About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

Overstay for 1-2 days

Hello! I had a torist visa for 2 month and also an extension for only two weeks. But during the visit i decided to apply for an internship visa to study here. The problem is that the letter from university will come one day after my last day of extension. Is it possible for me to overstay for a one day and go to apply for the internship visa? Will they accept it despite overstay?

Most places in Mainland China only accept applications from those who are legally there. If you will be overstaying then you will no longer be in Mainland China legally and hence the EEA will generally not accept your application. You need to apply for a second extension and if that's not granted you should travel to HK and apply for an X visa there.
