About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

24hr visa free for Indonesian?

I am indonesian and i will stop over in Beijing airport for 23hr. Can I get 24hr transit visa leaving airport?

First of all, we don't know whether your itinerary is eligible at all because you didn't mention the cities immediately before and after Shanghai and this is crucial for us to determine whether you are eligible for 24 hour visa free transit or not.

OK, I will assume that your itinerary is eligible and in this case, you should book your accommodation in advance and have a printout of your accommodation booking confirmation with you. Upon landing in Beijing, you will apply for a temporary entry permit (not 24hr transit visa) at 24 hour visa free transit counter. You have to know that the issuing of the mentioned permit is always upon discretion of immigration authorities, but because of the length of your layover and if in possession of accommodation booking confirmation, your chances to be granted a permit are really very good.
