About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

24 h visa free transit

I will be flying to Australia via Beijing. The layover only for 9 h still would like to be able to see two or three landmarks. I wonder if I could apply for visa earlier so I don't have to queue for 2 h for visa

Maria, you can apply for a transit visa in your country before departure but it's not very advised because you are eligible for the 24h visa-free transit in Beijing.
