About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Itinerary for 240 h visa free

I’m planing to travel from USA to Beijing China , take an 8 days tour in 3 mainland cities and exit from Honkong back to USA. Is this a good itinerary for the 240 visa free policy ?

Yes, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. Here, just two details to clarify:

1. Your flight from US to Beijing is not allowed to have a landing in Hong Kong of any kind because you will use Hong Kong to exit mainland China.
2. Before your departure from US you will have to buy your plane/train ticket from mainland China (for example from Beijing) to Hong Kong West Kowloon station because you will be asked to present it both at the time of check-in in US and upon landing in Beijing.
